California – La Quinta Cove – Boo Hoff
Simply amazing trail and quite a daunting prospect. Heads up the cove into the Santa Rosa mountains before turning left and down to the lake. Remote, extreme and breathtaking.

An absolutely remarkable, crazy, challenging and simply bonkers race. It is no joke with some of the gradients up to 40% – scrambling required, nordic poles optional.
Fantastic run on this magical island. Weather dependent, you feel like you’re in the Caribbean but just 20 minutes from the mainland. Can be crowded and trails are a mix of rocky beach, fire road and single track. Well worth the effort!
Amazing trail off the top of the D14 heading to Collobrieres. Follows a ridgeline across the valley from D14 before dropping down towards Barrage de la Verne. St. Magdeleine chapel is on the top of a hill and feels far from everywhere…
A bit of an exploration here – great time to do it as the hunting hadn’t started yet and I wanted to check out the last section of the Suane – randomly stumbled onto a magnificent outlook on top of San Peire.
Beautiful run through the heart of Munich. It helps to have great weather for this mostly urban track but you do go through the English Garden before getting to the Olympic Park. Beautiful space and, while a bit pricey, the view from the tower is… Read More »Europe – Germany – Munich – Olympiapark
Absolutely stunning run on Anti Paros – took the 5 min ferry from Pounta and drove south to Soros Beach to start the run. Trail wasn’t difficult to find and is good dirt road with moderate traffic heading to the smaller beaches. Well worth the… Read More »Europe – Greece – Antiparos – Soros Beach -> Faneromeni Beach
Absolutely stunning long run with a good combination of road, single track and elevation. At no time did I feel like there was exposure or anything dramatic. But the views are amazing and the Spring / Church tucked halfway up the mountain is truly special.
Fair warning on this one – unless you’re an exceptionally good rock runner, this is better off as a nice historic hike. You can go either direction but we started in Lefkes and turned around in Prodromas.
Fantastic run on the relatively sparse Cycladic island of Ios. Starts from the corner of Mylopotas Beach and heads into the hills. Trail is marked (both with markers and spraypainted red dots) but is difficult to find at first. You’ll also feel like you’re trespassing… Read More »Europe – Greece – Ios – Mylopotas Beach to Klima Bay
